Saw a Green Woodpecker today for first time in there having been going in there for a few years. I Know Bill Myerscough heard one several times early last year but not sure if he saw it. Between malkins wood farm and moss house farm this am a pair of red legged partridge, a pair of grey partridge at least 20 lapwings[ 6 of which were ariel displaying] and a superb looking male stonechat.

Visited 7 Acre Country Park in Breightmet Bolton. Just to confuse things its actually 15 acres. It consists of the large Bradshaw Brook running through the whole park, sycamore woods, open grass land and former mill lodges and leats.
