Whilst driving down the A34 a slightly bizarre pairing on the handforth dean roundabout - one oystercatcher and one lapwing within 6 feet of each other

Alveston Drive and Pinewood Road are the usual haunts for Waxwing in Handforth. May be worth a check tomorrow.

Cheers
Jason

Same walk as on 20th at dawn.
Similar birds to 20th but:

1 Lesser Whitethroat (singing)
7 Whitethroats (singing)
no Grasshopper warblers this time
no Willow warblers

Whitethroats seem generally, particularly numerous this year
But conversely Willow Warblers seem unusually scarce.
