5.30-7.30pm 2 Goldcrests, 1 Buzzard, 7 Coal Tits and 1 Chiffchaff. A pair of Long Tailed Tits were carrying nesting material. 1 Swallow passed through and a Raven was heard.

My local patch, today , on my walk , i saw a lot of blackbirds in the hedges , their numbers have significantly increased in the last 2 weeks, six redpoll, buzzard, a tawny owl mobbed by three jays,the usual tit flocks, and a little owl. -- Edited by paganhound on Monday 2nd of November 2009 07:17:43 PM

I have been told by an RSPB volunteer living in Rochdale, Jill Brown, who is involved with the Manchester Peregrines, that a pair is now in residence at the (secure) Town Hall tower, hopefully using the tray we put up in February 2009.
