Pete Berry and I had 6 Ravens (a family group) flying south low from over the railway onto Croxdens Peat Works on Chat Moss this morning. They wandered around the bare peat for afew minutes before flying on again.
14 Black tailed Godwits ,over, flying north west to south east at 9am, also Oystercatcher, Redshank, Kingfisher, 3 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 6 Sedge Warbler, 4 Reed Warbler, 3 Blackcap, Garden Warbler near New hide, 8 Common Whitethroat + 2 Linnets from Teal hide.

On a recce for my Lips survey (Lapwings in Plots) I had Grey Partridge, Common Whitethroat, 1 f Wheatear and loads of Skylarks - only one Lapwing though. I'll do the survey proper early one morning next week.
