I recieived a call from Rick Burnett at 12.28 yesterday reporting a Red Kite over Victoria Park in Stretford. No further details to date.

Today approx 1200 seen sat on 16th green. 4 x Oystercatchers. Also seen sat in tree above 16th about same time, 1 x cormorant... Not the norm for round here

One today at 0700hrs moving W and calling over Horrocks Flash. Joined by an unidentified smaller second wader.

at the mere today-marsh harrier,merlin fem,avocet-8,bt godwit-250,ruff-6,green sand-2,common sand-2 plus all the usual stuff.

cracking views of 4 of the 5 eagle owls after a long wet trek. one of the youngsters was ripping into what looked like a rabbit. also 2 peregrines and a very vocal buzzard. saw a swift fly into its nest-cavity in a roof on the way up

Picked up a knackered kittiwake today just off mossely road M14 in colleage campus not quite an albatross but keep on looking you never know whats about.

Large numbers of swallows and martins over the new water works off banky meadow approx 50+ sand martins 30+ Swallows 20+ swifts 70 + starling 3 grey wagtail 12 pied wagtail Whitethroat and sedge warbler and 1 soggy Tawny owl been watched by a soggy birder.
