11.50am to 12.25pm Very quiet, apart from a bloke and his son on a quad bike, and people shouting at their dogs. No woodland birds worth recording. Only birds on the river were 5 Mallards and 2 Dippers seen from road bridge at Darcy Lever.

Two of "we three" went to (I think it was" New Home Farm - lane on left just before Jacksons Brick Works) this morning to see a Cattle Egret. Jolly good, we saw it follow the cattle and fly. Also saw a Buzzard, Two Kestrel and a few Mistle Thrush.
