If there isn't a quantity this effectively mak...
Whilst I was doing my atlas TTV this morning and walking through Viridor Wood (N) which is just S of Three Sisters, I had a female/imm Marsh Harrier circling around for about 10 mins before drifting off W. I suspect it had probably come from the Wigan Flashes.
Sorry for the mass mailing, but it appears that my private messaging is not working at the moment!
However, if Bill Myerscough reads this could you e-mail me your e-mail address to kane.brides''@''wwt.org.uk
Thanks

In case anyone else hasn't seen in the National papers- there's possible plans to flood parts of Norfolk for coastal defences. It's main feature on the regional news slot with village meetings tonight. Sounds like many years off yet though it obviously has big impact on people living there now. Foun...

I've been a read-only user of this forum for some while and thought I'd wait until I had something decent to post before taking the plunge.
Yesterday, 5th April, at Poynton Pool I had an Osprey flying north and directly overhead (see avatar which was taken at the time by a co-birder). An excellent rew...
What's happening to Rooks in Rochdale? I passed 2 rookeries today - Kiln Lane at Milnrow (1 nest) - admittedly I whizzed past in the car so could have missed some - there were 6 here in 2006, and Nutters at Wolstenholme Hall Norden - only 9 here, though possibly 3 more singletons in other parts of the groun...
