45 Twite were at the LH feeding station and came down to feed on Nyjer seed that had just been put down. These two gentlemen walk along the Pennine Way every Sunday morning at exactly the same time, so maybe the Twite have learnt to tell the time!

No sign of the Iceland Gull, even with light till 4:35-40ish. Upward of 3000 BH Gulls, including 1 leucistic bird, but only 2-300 large gulls came in. Other birds included:

150+ Lapwings & 70+ Golden PLovers on a bulding site on Ashton Moss around 4pm today ( ashton park garden centre - Lord Sheldon Way )
Also 100+ stralings, 1 Heron, 10 Pied Wagtails & 1 lonesome but very loud robin.
fem. Scaup - first found around Rammy`s Scrapes then flew off onto main flash. Re -found in front of Boat-house but swam away towards Plank Ln end.

Both birds could be seen in the nest hole this morning at the site used in the past few years.
The low sun shone right into the hole so both could be clearly seen.
