Checked out Tyldesley Cemetery Rookery this afternoon. 23 nest occupied. Not sure if this Rookery already been posted. Great entertainment watching the rooks stealing twigs from each others nest. Cheers Ian.

I received an indirect report of a Red Kite over Tottington, Bolton at 2:51pm today (observer still not confirmed) and then a report of a possible/probable over Greenmount, Bolton at 12:10 soon after! Clearly worth keeping an eye to the skies.

First chiffchaff of the year for me 7am this morning wardley cemetry[ southeast corner in pine trees near to east lancs road]. do not know if its the same bird but theres been chiffchaff at this exact spot for several years.
