So, it is!
The reason I was looking at the list was to print it off and work out my personal GM tally (somewhere in the 160s). In it's current format, it's not that 'printer friendly', so I'm really looking forward to an improved version.smile.gif

The current systematic list on the website is my 'winter project' and entails more work than you might imagine so please bear with it. It will also feature some truely user friendly and rather impressive items once they are all complete but this will take some time more! Either way the systematic list will be one of the main features on the website in the future, very interactive and comprehensive but the potential work involved (research, information gathering, rarity reviews etc) will take time and unfortunately in the process may even see some species on the list removed!

If anyone finds any other errors etc could they let me know by email please as often it's the only way I'll ever find out and always appreciated.

I saw a common teal at elton recently, is this yet another 1st for Manchester?!?!biggrin.gif

I've just been perusing the Systematic County List on the main web pages. Common or Eurasian Teal seems to be missing, Green-winged Teal is there, but not its commoner relative!weirdface.gif

Well I did go for the Mandarin Duck and picked up the long-tailed duck on the way and 6 crossbills at walker fold wood too! I've been a few times and places for the crossbills so very pleased about them. Also went looking for the cetti's warbler too trying to be greedy. Great to put faces to names at the flashes. Great day-just another 36 and Ill be there!

a few others i need include curlew sandpiper, black-throated diver, marsh tit, spotted crake and ring-billed gull. even on 194, 200 seems a long way off.

Well done Alan. Still a bit of a way to go yet myself to reach 200. Hoping for Bittern myself by end of year. Only one I've ever seen in Manchester was also on Bryn flash on my first ever visit to Wigan flashes.

i dont think i have many easy birds left to see but still need bewicks, quail, osprey, water pipit, barnacle and brent geese, red-crested pochard, leaches petrel, pec sand , richards pipit, yellow browed warbler and great grey shrike.

Yes well done Alan on the 200. I've a bit of a way to go so I'll have a piece of that luck if you are handing it out, but will certainly be making an effort to add a few. I've been after the crossbills a few times but with no luck yet- think I'll get over for one of them Mandarins to speed me up a bit!

Thanks for that guys, Nice to get excellent views Bittern as my 200th bird, it took a lot of persuading "Doubting Thomas" Warford Junior to go to Wigan Flashes today, he was saying things like we might see one after our 10th trip sometime in feb 2008 and we get one within 20mins of arriving at WF !!! Good bird for 200th, now switching my attention to my tarts tick of Merlin + both Harriers. Good luck to all those in the 190's. will watch with interest.
