This morning the Black Swan still, 2 Shoveler, 1 Goldeneye, 11 Goosander, 2 Little Grebes, 1 Oystercatcher, 10 Lapwings, 2 Ringed Plovers, several Little Ringed Plovers, 1 Black tailed Godwit, 1 Green Sandpiper and 2 Common Sandpipers.
This morning - the Black Swan, 2 Shoveler, 2 Wigeon, 31 Goosander, 2 LIttle Grebes, 2 Oystercatchers, 16 Lapwings, several Little Ringed Plovers, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Redshank, 1 Sanderling, 2 Snipe, 7 Black-tailed Godwits, 1 Peregrine, c500 Swifts (just before a downpour), c150 Sand Martins and a Willow Warbler.
Black-tailed Godwits went from 3 at 5:30 to 11 then 16 before flying off south at 6:30 1 Green Sandpiper 1 Curlew 1 Common Sandpiper 1 Oystercatcher 1 Teal 1 Shoveler 1 Gadwall Black Swan 2 Mute Swan
This morning, drake Common Scoter on no 2, also 1 Gadwall, 1 Shoveler, 1 Teal, 2 Oystercatchers, 11 Lapwings, 2 Dunlin, 1 Curlew, 1 Green Sandpiper, 3 Common Sandpipers, 5 adult Moorhens and the 6 young and a Ring-necked Parakeet. Also the Back Swan still present.
No1 only from about 1:30 1 Turnstone, 2 Oystercatcher, 6 Pochard 1 Shoveler, 1 Gadwall Plus a Black Swan, first seen by another regular yesterday morning.
This morning 2 Wigeon, 5 Gadwall , 1 Goosander, 1 Oystercatcher, 6 Lapwings and 2 Ring necked Parakeets. c300 Swifts early morning included an aberrant bird with a white band across the belly and identical white patches on the leading edge of both wings giving it a landing lights effect viewed head on (photo on the website galleries).
3/6/22 Some sightings from a few regulars this morning.
2 drake Common Scoter 1 Curlew 9 Ringed Plover 2 Dunlin 2 Sanderling 1 Oystercatcher 8 Gadwall 2 Shoveler 13 Mute Swan, mostly immatures, one has a green ring, not been able to read the code as yet. 1 Greylag Goose 1 Tern, probably Common, very brief visit. Flew north at about 7:45.
Yesterday 2 1st summer Grey Plovers dropped in mid morning, departed around 12:30.
This morning included 2 Shoveler, 8 Gadwall, 2 drake Common Scoters, 2 Sanderlings, 2 Dunlin and 7 Ringed Plovers which appeared to be tundra race birds.
1 Common Tern and 3 Little Gulls went through before 6:30 1 Black-necked Grebe on No3 1 Arctic Tern lingered for a few minutes 3 further Little Gulls dropped in after 8am then after I had left at 9am another 19 dropped in so 22 together at this time. fairly quiet otherwise, 1 Oystercatcher 1 Little Ringed Plover 7 Lapwing possibly 2 Wheatear c50 Sand Martin c5 Swallow 5 Mute Swan, 1 adult, 4 immature. 5 Goldeneye.
This morning - 1 Arctic Tern on no 2 from c10.30 am to 11.30am when it appeared to depart to the north. Other birds included 3 Greylag Geese, 2 Shoveler, 4 Goldeneye, 1 Goosander, 3 Lapwings, c30 Sand Martins, 3 Swallows, 1 Wheatear , 2 Blackcaps, 1 Willow Warbler and 9 Linnets.
This morning - male Blue - headed Wagtail with a male Yellow Wagtail. Other birds included 6 Shoveler, 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Dunlin, 1 Snipe, c30 Sand Martins, c5 Swallows, 1 House Martin, 4 White Wagtails and 3 Wheatears.
