I've also had a Firecrest in my garden, on Valentines Day 1990 , first viewed from the 'kitchen' window of a bedsit whilst putting the kettle on!, directly opposite where I live now in Chorlton. Now that's the way to find birds!. Seems it escaped the 1990 bird report .
Adrian Dancy range me today to say that a pair of Ravens entered the clock tower at Manchester Town Hall this morning, but were eventually chased off by a pair of Peregrines. Colin Brooks, the steeplejack who does our Peregrine work for us, also watched all this!

i,ve put it here because i didn,t see it,on sunday i took the grandkids to horrocks flash (so no optic,s) and one the regular dog walkers told me that on thursday and friday there were over 500 canada geese on the main water. did any one see them.or has he been at the mushrooms ???geoff
