The colour ringed Spoonbill found on the evening of Sat 5th July at Horrock's Flash, Wigan, only stayed until 1015hrs on Sunday 6th July.
It was re-located on Mon 7th July in South Wales on the Ogmore Estuary.
It has since been re-located further south and is now in Devon at Exminster Marshes RSPB....

2 weeks ago a pair of Wrens successfully fledged a family from a Great Tit nest box in my garden. I thought this unusual and Peter Johnson suggested I post this and ask if anyone else out there has experienced this or any other unusual wren(or any other bird) nest sites.

I received late news yesterday from the finder of a Red Kite on the 20th July. The lady in question was travelling from Edenfield to Owd Betts along the A680 when it flew right across infront of her and flew low across the fields on the right.
