Willow Warbler singing near Ramsdales Hide, as was a Cetti's Warbler

Female Common Scoter still present

Blackcap singing along the main causeway 

18 Sand Martin flew through east during a rain shower and singles over subsequently

7 Wigeon arrived around 12pm when it rained hard

Cetti's Warbler was singing across from the island that is being cleared.

Sightings from this am included: Knot still on spit from Horrocks hide also redshank (earlier on sailing club shoreline). Water rail showing very well from pengies, singing Chiffchaff near benches in east bay and c. 60 Redwing in trees near Morleys farm many in full song which made for an amazing sound.

Earlier today there was a smart male goldeneye on the flash c midday. I think the location is marked as 'the point' on the trail maps dotted around the reserve.

It was a good day for ducks, with at least 18 goosander also plus the usual wintering suspects.
