Quite a few sightings reported to me today. A Crossbill flew over Pickley Green, Leigh (Phil Rhodes, not currently on email), am. and one was in Cecil Ave, Sale, yesterday but not today (John Butterworth).


10 Tree Sparrows at Pendlebury Lane, Wigan (Jimmy Meadows)


On Irlam Moss, a Barn Owl hunting off Twelve Yards Rd late  afternoon, amd nearby an adult Merlin chasing Meadow Pipits; 3 Red-legged Partridges and a Peregrine. Also 2 Willw Tits.


Also lots of Pinkfeet flying East included 500 over Timperley, 450 over Woods Moor, 32 over Irlam Moss. 110 flew W over Wigan 0930.
