I believe the RSPB have been in touch and spraying has been stopped.
UU are looking for environmentally friendly suggestions to help alleviate the problem.

Just a quick update. I have sent letters to a number of people relating to the issue of spraying pesticides around Audenshaw reservoir. So far The Green Party and Jonathan Reynolds are taking action. Replies are attached. Hopefully this mindless act will be halted as a matter of urgency.

I doubt they are allowed! That's appalling!

I'd suggest you contact MP or an effective Councillor about it with some urgency before they complete the job

I was quite shocked when I read this letter on another forum regarding the spraying of midges on Audenshaw reservoir. Surely this is why there is a large array of hirundines and other birds using the reservoir!! Im surprised they are allowed to spray the bankings of reservoir with pesticides!!
