It is hard to see a trend from home. When I go out, I do see missile thrushes. For example last week at sunset, 3 missile thrushes about 400 meters apart each, near Irlam locks on the Flixton side by Wellacre Park.
I'm just curious as to whether birders around Gtr Manchester are seeing the rapid decline of Mistle Thrushes that I am experiencing locally in Hyde. I have not seen one for 12 months in or from my garden. 3 years ago it was almost impossible not to see or hear
a bird if you spent more than a few minutes in the garden.
Even Collared Doves have declined to an occasional sighting. I used to get up to 6 birds visiting during covid lockdown.
