Training: Willow Tit surveying in Bolton

In Britain, Willow Tit have suffered an alarming decline of around 94% since the 1970s. It is thought around 15% of the national population can be found in north-west England, with only 2750 pairs nationally.

We want to better understand the Willow Tits presence in the area to design effective interventions which will enhance their habitat and improve its connectivity. To do this, we are looking for volunteers who following training will survey for Willow Tit in the Bolton area.

A half-day training session will be held on the 2nd February 2024 at the Bolton Environmental Resource Centre, 499-511 Bury Road, Bolton BL2 6DH.

If you are interested in getting involved, please email Matt McMullen at mmcmullen[at]lancswt.org.uk or give him a text or call on 07596 888336
