Spurn Bird Observatory Annual reports - free - Now Taken

I nor the forum have ever been hacked Paul, if you check such email addresses you will find they are not quite mine and usually contain and extra digit, full stop or the like to look like mine. It’s a very common thing these days.

As for getting confused Paul, the posts are quite clear and as we have discussed before, I’m not quite sure why you get confused about it.

Anyway, back to the thread, which I think is done now anyway! Feel free to contact me privately to continue if necessary.

Thank you Ian < I think the deafiening  silence was due to the fact no one saw the request any way I think you were hacked a while back so I had to blocked  your email address  as I kept getting request to view ???? unsuitable photos for my tender eyes ...

I but fear the recording group and the forum are getting mixed up and lost in the various thread, good luck with it all will try and unblock you to see what happens

cheers Paul

Agreed Paul and this has been one of a few recent plans but after hearing nothing but deafening silence to requests for assistance for the Assistant County Recorder (one of whose roles is to collate the data for the reports) and even for the County Rarity Committee in recent months, not to mention many previous nil replies and rapid side-steps from individuals in assisting writing/editing/just being involved in any report anyway, it seems no one's really interested much these days. Fortunately, we are lucky that there are at least still many good observers out there (plus the stalwarts who will contuse to support the groups work, including any future reports, no matter what) who continue to submit their superb sightings to the bird recording group which allows the ever increasing records within the county database to be put to good use more than they ever have, which is where the really important work is done to be fair.

Anyway, I'm getting all off thread now (!) so please direct any further discussion privately please Paul.

Ian always  happy to help in any way I can .. still think 2 reports giving the highlights of the past decade would help us catch up .

Or if anyone can come up with a better solution then happy to help in anyway ...

I'm looking to offload my copies of Spurn Bird Observatory annual reports. I definitely have 2007-2020, and if I can find them I think I also have copies back to the mid 1980s. The more recent reports are hefty tomes for a report and they all contain some great photos of rarities and common birds alike, Odonata and Lepidoptera plus great write ups from the finders of some of the rarities.

Free to anyone who can collect, or possibly meet at a local site like Pennington.
