Swift Brick petition


The use of Swift bricks in developments will be debated by MPs today. It can be viewed live online at the link below, followed on Twitter, or the transcript will be available afterwards Use of Swift Bricks MPs debate . Alternatively you could go outside and watch some Swifts (if you can find any..)

We are on our umpteenth meeting about swift bricks with Wigan Council, we now think we are finally being heard, I will sign the petition

Hi , Im asking you to please sign this petition, it aims to encourage the government to make it mandatory to fit Swiftbricks into all new build buildings , where practical. I dont need to remind you that species like the Swift that rely on walls and roof spaces for nest sites have seen their numbers crash in recent times , one of the reasons being modern day roofing practices which exclude birds from our buildings , Swiftbricks would still allow good house insulation and still allow us to live in harmony with these species that have come to rely on us .
