Hi, I’m a trainee journalist at Manchester Metropolitan University, currently writing about Manchester’s birdwatching community and the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on nature-based recreation. 

I’m looking for anyone willing to be interviewed regarding how they came to take up birdwatching as a hobby, and how they have seen it change throughout lockdown. I’m hoping to interview multiple subjects and can do so over zoom or over the phone and am also hoping to accompany a birder out birdwatching, naturally this will be done socially distanced, outdoors and would include an in-person interview.
