A morning wander around the Chill Factor, Barton Bridge, Eccles STW and Langland Drive produced plenty of singing Chiffchaff, a few singing Blackcap and Willow Warbler. A pair each of Goosander and Great Crested Grebe on the MSC, plus 38 Mute Swan. 2 Buzzard, the odd singing Song Thrush and Greenfinch. Highlight was a singing Cettis Warbler on the concrete track between Eccles STW and the MSC.

White stork circling over Monton at 1050 this morning. Drifting in general direction of Winton/ Boothstown. Ian was alerted as I watched it and put it out to others. Thought I was in Portugal for a moment when I spotted it whilst driving. Got moved on by traffic warden who didn't care it was a rare sight in Salford. Jobsworth.
