There doesn't appear to be a thread on here regarding Wild Justice's campaign to challenge the legality of the General Licence issued by DEFRA which allowed any landowner to kill or take certain species of wild birds to prevent "serious damage to livestock, foodstuffs for livestock, crops, vegetables, fruit, growing fisheries or inland water."
Defra have now issued a consultation Wild Birds General Licence Survey which gives you the chance to have your say. I expect most responses to this will be from landowners who wish to see the General Licence reinstated. It is widely used by Grouse Moor owners to justify their control activities.
