RE: GMLRC Simple Record Form

Please note, the subject and replies to Rob's query have been moved to a separate thread about Swift on-line recording system.

This is because the GMLRC Simple Recording Form is really only for the occasional record and is not intended for those submitting regular records like birders etc and Swift has now been adopted as the county's primary recording system smile

Are e-Bird sightings sent 9n to you?

Thanks for the feedback Paul. We are really proud of the simple form and the analysis tools, in particular the custom query builder. If anybody wants to get involved in more structured surveys we also have a number of survey sites available for adoption. If you are a keen recorder check out the website and the Carbon Landscape Citizen Science project. We appreciate the support and you would be helping local conservation.

Best wishes, Paul

Hi I don't know if most people are aware there is now a very simple and easy to use record entry form under the above title on the GMLRC website. All you have to do is create a profile if you don't have one. It has a clickable map for you to pinpoint your sightings and a comments section.
You can also interrogate the record very easily and download an Excel list of your reports for any or all species for any period of time.

In my experience it's much quicker and easier to use than RODIS - I haven't used other methods.

Forgive if this has been widely discussed elsewhere!!
