RE: One way ticket to Scilly

Didn't take you long to get to Porth Hellick bay Scott, and you managed a record shot of the Belted Kingfisher.
Nice!!!

Nice one Scott, I'm very envious. I've never been to Scilly so make the next mega a big one. Drake spectacled eider perhaps or hawk owl.

Wow.... Well what a brilliant thing to be able to do,

Chris Webb aka spider Scillyspider.blogspot.com

Bob Dawson check out @stagsnature on twitter

Two really good locals, amongst many others , but both of these will give you a lot of local knowledge

The IOS Wildlife trust and the IOS bird report are a fountain of information.

Enjoy the islands

Hi Scott, you mentioned the Lower Moors...presumably you are going to St.Mary's then.
What a fantastic place it is, me and my best pal go every year for a day trip in June while we are down in Cornwall, and also myself, Simon Gough and Chris Chandler went over in autumn last year, it really is a great place, and a cracking pint in the Atlantic pub too!
All the best.

Best wishes and good luck with the new venture Scott. Give my regards to Samaya and be sure to look after the little Orker.  He should have some list by the time he's five biggrin

One thing that needs clarification from the Football Association is whether you would be eligible for the Birders or the Islanders team in the annual football match.

All the best Scott for you and your family

Afternoon all, After 28 wonderful years in Greater Manchester, my family and I will set sail from Penzance tomorrow morning for a new life on the Isles of Scilly! I started birding age 6 in my Nanās Stockport garden and have made some great friends in the county through the years, especially since joining the forum! Thank you for all your knowledge and guidance, hopefully I can repay you all (the amongst you twitchers anyway) by finding a monster rare at Lower Moors in the not-so-distant future. Iāll be back once or twice a year so will still keep an eye on the forum. If any of you venture to Scilly, please donāt hesitate to get in touch - scottreid.ecology@yahoo.com. All the best for 2018! Scott
