Hi Craig
Thanks so much
That's exactly what it is. Just looked at some pictures.
I got rather excited when i didn't know what it was haha

Always worth checking these things Chris - colour abnormalities can really cause confusion. I recently had a crow with a white face and flecking on the breast plus a few white flight feathers. Wondered what the heck I was looking at for a good few minutes!!

Sounds like the one seen around Edgworth on numerous occasions over the last few years. I first saw it myself at top end of Wayoh a couple of years ago and also thought Barn Owl at first sight as it flew between trees, but out in the open it was obviously a Crow.

Hi Chris. Could it be a leucistic Crow? That could explain some of the darker feathering you think you have seen?

I should add that whilst I'm no expert I can identify over 150 birds but this one has me stumped. It's not a tern or gull. It's feathers appear soft like an owl. I think it has a black/darkish face with very white main feathers.

I've seen a bird in wheelton that I can only describe as a white crow. Thought ow was an owl at first but then saw a pointy face/beak Any thoughts?
