This post (which is light-hearted in tone) is sort of aimed at Chris Sutton and some of the other gents who were at Chorlton Ees on Sunday morning while waiting for the Short-eared Owl to appear- Chris said something about a new BBC Games of Thrones-esque medieval show which had annoyed him as the King of Northumbria was seen using a Harris Hawk back at a time when he certainly wouldn't have had access to one. Another gentleman there (whose name I didn't catch) made a similar comment about Chiffchaffs singing in Game of Thrones in winter...

So I let off a bit of a chuckle today when on the Radio 4 Film Show someone was complaining about hearing a Great Northern Diver in Spectre, the new Bond film in a location where it definitely would not be heard. Do other birders find themselves irked at such incorrect use of birdsong to create ambient noise in film/TV? Any examples which have particular annoyed you?
