Probably not relating to anyone on the forum but I was surprised to see a pair of decent sized binoculars on the Collyhurst-side parapet of (I think) the Smedley viaduct this afternoon. Seen from the Oldham tram as I was heading into Victoria around noon today and still there around 3 p.m. as I headed home. No sign of anyone including maintenance crew on the track bed or anywhere nearby.
