Carl - check out the "Clubs, Societies and Recording Groups" page on the main website homepage (bottom right hand icon). Plenty of like minded people sharing your mid (or early, or late) life crisis!

Hello all, as the title says Im new to all this but Im completely hooked. I live in the Worsley area so have spent most of my time in Middlewood, Worsley Woods, Canal, Vickers Hall Lane, Pennington, Moses Gate and a few other places further afield. My wife and kids think Im having a midlife crisis! As I have bought binoculars, scope and a Canon camera with zoom. At the moment for me its a solitary existence although my wife does come on walks with me but this does have an effect on the spottingsmileMy count so far this year is only 57 so I assume this is poor but this is from mid February when I started. Spotting birds is an art in itself but photographing them in this dim light we have in the UK is a nightmare. If anyone has the time and lives local to me and would like to help and advise in the field it would be most welcome. Many thanks.
