Sent you an email Jamie with a few shots on. Difficult to get good images mainly down to the bird's nature, being fairly nervous and flighty. Hope they are of use.

Hi Rob,

One of these certainly sound like the combinations Heysham are using,
Single white ring could be one of a few, possibly the isle of Man, although without knowing the position of the metal ring it's difficult to say.
if you Email me the pictures, with dates, location and flock sizes I will confirm that, and make sure they are reported to the right places.

Any colour ringed Twite (as well as colour-ringed anything!) Should be reported to the project leaders who will, in turn report the record to the BTO. These projects are only as good as the resightings they generate after all.
Twite, for example, can be Emailed to me, otherwise, the website
cr-birding will give you an idea of where to report all other species.
As anyone who receives my E-mails regarding the WeBS will know, Black-head gull, Coot and Mute Swan are widely colour-ringed in GM, as well as Willow tit and (historically), Grey Heron and Blue tit. There is then of course the chance of passage colour-ring birds of any species, we don't ring any Twite within the GM boarder but birds are almost certainly using the uplands to the North and East in GM, sites like Light hazzles for example.

Hi Jamie,
I don't know if it's of any use but I have a couple of photos from Knott End a few weeks ago with some colour ringed Twite. There's more than 1 ringed bird but the only ones I can make out are a single white ring on 1 bird, and another bird with a white, blue, and red ring situated just above the main foot!

At Knott End yesterday saw a Twite in a night the small flock which was colour ringed on the left leg with red over White. Anyone know which scheme this may relate to? Thanks in advance for any info
