A second visit for the American Wigeon on Loscoe Lake, Normanton industrial estate this morning.

Went on Wednesday 18th Feb after news on the pager at 1050hrs. Arrived at 1200hrs to be greeted by 4 happy chaps who pointed out 'the bird'. Unfortunately, they were watching a female Eurasian Wigeon but seemed quite happy to tick it as its american counterpart. confuse

Arrived at 1010hrs this morning and it was feeding with 40 or so Eurasian Wigeon. The bird commutes between here and Swillington ings. Early to mid morning seems to be the best time for anyone planning a visit.
