Thanks Paul for adding me to the Greater Manchester Group and Martyn I've requested to join the Leigh Ornithological Society's group.
Gordon, thanks for explaining why I can no longer see the North West Birding group.

I really find these sites helpful.

Don't forget Leigh Ornithological Society's Facebook Group too :) It's open to everyone to join, and mainly covers birding in the North West. Link below.

North West birding was recently made secret so can't be found by searching. I think you can be made a member by invitation by email from someone else?

Must admit I can't see North West Birding. I can see North West Birds which looks like a cage bird site, and North West Bird Hunters, but no NW Birding.

Judith, North west Birding is on Facebook - only fairly recently joined but it looks quite good.

As a relative newcomer to the joys of birding I am keen to find all the local knowledge I can get. This forum is brilliant and has helped me enormously, and I am very grateful to all contributors. I am still a little apprehensive about posting myself because of lack of knowledge.

A while ago I was a member of a Facebook Group called North West Birding or something like that! It was great, showing good photos of birds in places I had access to. For some reason I no longer seem to be a member of this group and can't find it on Facebook. Does it no longer exist?
