RE: Hope Carr Nature Reserve (other wildlife)

A few fungi from my visit earlier this week but as usual found it very difficult with identification so here's my take.

In picture order below

1. Bovine Bolete

2. Clouded Agaric

3. Clustered Toughshank

4. Common Bonnet

5. Common Rustgill

6. Honey Fungus

7. Sulphur Tuft

A Migrant Hawker patrolling Pennington brook was the only insect of note on a very dull day.

My first ever fox sighting whilst birding this afternoon rounded off a very pleasant afternoon.

Incredible amount of insect life out this afternoon, of which I'm mostly ignorant of what they were to be fair.

Hundreds of hoverflies and bees of various sorts; scores of Large and Small White, Red Admirals and lesser numbers of Gatekeeper and Small Tortoiseshell; plus lots of Ladybirds of at least a couple of different species. Plenty of impressive dragonflies (including a few really big red ones!) and smaller bright blue damselflies too, plus quite a few Banded Demoiselle which looked rather pristine.
