Leaflet dropped through the door today stating that Coronation Power are putting together a proposal for a 17 mast wind farm to straddle either side of Rooley Moor Road - for those that view from a distance, that's just east of the existing Scout Moor wind farm. Public exhibitions shortly in a number of locations. Public views sought ahead of submitting a planning application to Rochdale and Rossendale Councils. So yet more isolated, wonderful, wild space is under threat.
The leaflet identifies (for some reason) that the existing Scout Moor wind farm is now owned by Munich Reinsurance, having been originally developed by Peel Energy. I wonder who is making most money or deriving most benefit from it? Joe Public?
