Like Steve says feel free to pop along to Facalpoint when you come back too and we are pals with Cley Spy so by all means pop and see them too. I'm a birder of over 40 years & use bins every day, have been Assisitant County Recorder in Greater Manchester & write the UKBS for Greater Manchester in BirdWatching Mag, so know what I am talking about & have lots of links with the county smile

The only thing I will say about buying local is that if there are any problems then it's easier to get it dealt with afterwards, rather than post it off to where you bought it from. Thanks for the mention Steve - your discount is getting bigger as we speak lol wink

I will send you a Private Message Dave if that's OK?

Also as you are off to Norfolk, I can recommend that you visit ''Cley Spy'' They have a full range of scopes
(plus a few second hand ones) and you can spend all day testing them , while looking out onto glorious countryside.

RSPB Titchwell are also well stocked and I have found their Optics specialist ''Richard'' very helpful.

All these guys are very keen birders!

Also ''In Focus'' is just across the A149 in Titchwell.

I would also say visit CleySpy, plenty of choice and no pressure to buy. Plus plenty of opportunity to try.
