RE: hi huys, new on here

Hi Nicolas,

Take a look at the societies area http://www.manchesterbirding.com/clubspage.htm

Many run field trips and have indoor evenings.
I'm certain that both you and your daughter would be welcome on a Stockport Birdwatching Society's coach trips (assuming that they pick up at somewhere convenient to you).

Hi Nicholas,

If you are new on here you may not be aware that this forum is only a part of a bigger website.

Try clicking top left on 'Back to the Manchester Website Homepage' then navigate down to 'County Birding sites and Maps'.

Here you might discover a site near where you live.

Cheers, John

Hopefully someone will have some good ideas on where to take your daughter Nicholas; maybe try Martin Mere again or somewhere like Pennington Flash which is closer to home and has an unrivalled selection of species, both if which can be fairly easily reached by public transport.

As for Peregrines, try Manchester City Centre it Bolton Town Centre but birds on any 'cliff side' are probably breeders and so won't be disclosed by anyone on this forum (nor everdiscussed on here) due to the persecution they receive.
