RE: Birding trips

And Leigh Ornithological Society too, details on the website here: http://www.leighos.org.uk/p/fieldtrips.html, although we're heading for the summer break now. A new programme will be available for September.

Members share cars and contribute to fuel costs and generally all trips start from Doctors Nook car park facing the library in Leigh on Sunday mornings.

Manchester RSPB also do trips, but we do tend to stick to South Manchester

Hi Holly thankyou for your reply. I have looked at your website before and thought that your trips looked good. Maybe I will give it a go :)

Thanks!

Hi Annette

I run trips for the Bolton RSPB local group. We've got a number of outings lined up and we're always keen to meet new people. If you want any details let me know or you can have a look on our website www.rspb.org.uk/groups/bolton

HI all. I have been a visitor to this forum for many years but have been out of circulation recently due to a problem with my hands. In the New year I had an operation on both of them so that now I can once again hold a pair of binoculars and my camera.

Anyway years ago I remember going to Spurn point with some of the members on here and had a good time. Was wondering if trips were still organised? Forgive me but cant find any mention of anything being planned.

I am a very experienced birder and photographer but without a car find it difficult to get very far afield. I was also wondering if anyone would be interested in letting me join them in smaller trips (usually on a sunday or mid week) I would be happy to share petrol costs etc. I live in Astley Bridge, Bolton and have a great desire to get out and do more bird watching again!

Thanks!

Annette Cutt
