Several Painted Lady Butterflies feeding on the brambles (flowers) which form my garden fence throughout the day today, despite not being out looking for long at any point but in just 30 minutes after 4pm at least 6 were seen and all (including those throughout the day) feed for a while then head off high north over the house and away. One wonders just how many are really passing through!

At least two but possibly four Painted Lady Butterflies in my garden this early evening.
