RE: Clegg pools

No sign of the Garganey this morning - and I later found it back on Kingsway.

Still here were single Gadwall and Wigeon

Having been sent the original images to confirm the identification a few days ago, I too thought the bird was an immature and informed the finders of this. I haven't seen it in the field myself though and the images weren't ideal for ageing so its not for me to necessarily argue with those who have seen the bird in the 'flesh' .

Garganey relocated this morning on the pools.A quick look at Kingsway with Simon to see if there is possibly another drew a dip! You never know, they could be like buses---you wait 20 years and two turn up!
Clegg Pools,1 Garganey,1 Gadwall,4 Wigeon,2 Teal,6 Tufted,1 Little Grebe,3 Cormorant,
Cheers Alan
