Sefton St On the waste, former industrial ground, between Sefton St and the East Lancs Railway line lots, possibly hundreds, of Evening Primroses and Perforated St Johns Wort. The latter extend onto the margins of Sefton St itself. Peter Hill recorded the Peforated St Johns Wort in the ballast of the railway track some years ago. It's obviously spread. Also on the waste ground lots of lupins - a gift from the days when railway porters had time to manage station gardens (yes, I am old enough to remember that), and some Red Bartsia.
