Of the 4 different 'Buzzard management' techniques, a couple caught my eye..
2 'Diversionary feeding'. Whole carcasses left on posts out of reach of ground predators. The type of carcass to be agreed with site owners.... Well that's an easy one, how better to use those old Hen Harrier corpses that have been clogging up the freezer.
3 'Translocation (permanent)'. Permanent removal off site, for example,to a falconry center...I'm still laughing about that one, it's just so ridiculous.
I'm now going to sit in a darkened room for a while.
Nothing supprises me with this government,We don't want anything to harm their pheasant shooting do wewhile we work in factories and shops to keep them in the positions they are in ,that allow this sort of miss use of our money. We spend half a century trying to protect birds of prey from Gamekeepers and the like and now probably spend another half a century erradicating the birds of prey ,back to the point were no one can ever enjoy the majesty they bring to the countryside. I for one love seeing the Buzzards, and as a kid the likelyhood of ever seeing one locally was very remote. Now we can all enjoy them ,they want to start getting rid of them. Next no daupt it will be ospreys, and red kites, they will want to get rid of.I give upWhy not pay the same gunmen that take profit and pleasure out of shooting the ruddy ducks,as they must now be running out of the money as there are none left to shoot. nice to see everyones bothered-75 views and 2 replies, come on if it was about a rare bird that had been seen there would be a dozen replies by now
