most of the people who contribute to this site will have travelled from manchester to sheffield via the woodhead pass. as you leave glossop you travel up the longendale valley with all of the resservoirs on your right. The peak park authority are currently holding a consultation, which could see the electrical pylons which run the full 16km length of the valley taken down and the electricity cables buried underground. so if you think the valley would be a better place without these pylons, then please either write to john keeley, peak disttrict national park authority, aldern house , baslow road, bakewell, DE45 1AE
