Help wanted for RSPB Dove Stones BioBlitz.

Manchester birders contributed 52 species of Bird last year (which isn't bad for Dove Stone!)

We're still looking for volunteers for a one off 24hour event (6th-7th July).
Anyone interested in sharing their knowledge on any branch of natural history would be greatly received.

We believe Wildlife education should be available to everyone so all aspects of the event are completely free. This dose mean we don't pay (none of us are paid for the BioBlitz) but we will cover your travel.

we still have vacancies in

-Base leaders
-Roving teamleaders
-Photographers (Both wildlife & people)
-General site assistants (DIY bits & pieces)
-General base assistants (Public engagement)
-Roving team assistants (public engagement & Survey work)

All records gathered on the day are used by the RSPB to measure BioDiversity changes across the reserve & are also applied to a national level.
They are also submitted to other recording schemes and Societies such as OPALs Ispot and Butterfly conservation.

If you want to be involved in any capacity or what to offer new ideas or questions let me know.

Cheers all.
