Had a pleasant walk round the Abram/Golborne side the other day where there were a number of Meadow Pipits. Will give the other side a try in the near future. Thanks again.

Just seen this Norman. Dont think there's any major difference - each side has similar species, each side has similar habitats. Take a couple of hours and havea walk round and you'll see what I mean!!

Don't know but I would imagine generally left hand side coming away from Ashton to the three sisters would be better. Also to the right might be good it photo the barn owl.

Looking at the map, it appears Viridor Wood is either side of Bolton Road. Is there any preference for getting good photographic opportunities of birds and general sightings?
