The odd Greylag is seen and Brent is scarce on the estuary, but Canada is usually the only goose species there Joshua.

Brent Geese can be occasionally also seen at Glan-y-mor Elias between Llanfairfechan and Morfa Madryn or on a seawatch if lucky.

Cheers for the links guys, I'd already checked RSPB but hadn't thought to check NWBF, where I found reasonably good directions. However, I arrived at 8am and spent a longer-than-planned 2 hours roaming around the area where the bird has been seen most frequently, but unfortunately it didn't show. A few other birders looking for it also had no joy and as far as I'm aware it's not been reported today. Never mind hey!!

My day quickly improved however with 2 (at least) surf scoter off Llandulas and 15 snow bunts at Kinmel bay on my way home! :D

Hi Scot, haven't seen it myself but it has been reported with instructions on NWBF:

NWBF- RSPB Conwy

Hi All,

I'm going to North Wales in the morning and I'm hoping to pop into RSPB Conwy to have a look for my first firecrest. I'll probably get there before the visitors centre is open as I won't have long there, so can anyone point me in the direction of where the firecrest has been spending its time, incase there is no one around when I arrive?

Many thanks
