RE: Warton crag peregrines

Thanks Gordon

I had feared something bad had happened. A real shame.

Kind Regards

Mark

Hi Mark, I was at Leighton Moss this week, unfortunately the Peregrines at Warton Crag have not bred successfully this year. A new male peregrine replaced the bird that died after a collision with a car on the road near to the quarry. The first clutch of eggs was laid around the time the Ravens were fledging and were predated. The peregrines laid a second clutch which suffered the same fate Hopefully the will be successful next season. That is the situation from talking to some of the regular visitors.

Apologies to post here but does anyone know if the peregrines in the quarry have bred successfully this year. Heavy work commitments have meant I haven't been able to go birding much this year.

King thanks

Mark
