RE: Vanguard scope

Jamie - if you are happy with it then thats all that matters. The problem may come when you look through someone elses.

There was a bloke used to come to Pennington years ago (may still do) and he used to have a quite well respected model of scope that he paid a fair bit for. A few months later he inherited another scope from somewhere which he reckoned was a better scope, but to me and a few others it was nowhere near as good, yet he continued to use it in prefference to the one he paid several hundred quid for. I suppose yours may not be waterproof/ED coated etc etc, but if it does what you want until you (want?) can afford something better, dont worry about it.

Just bought a new scope second hand for £50.
Its a vanguard VSP 85.
80mm 20x-80x

bought because the (opicron?) I had years ago broke, and I never replaced it & until I can afford a decent make I wanted something that would do the job.

Ive looked around for reviews and comments on the scope but cant seem to find much, I know its no Opticron but am on a student budget and wanted something a step up from my binocs.

Anyone have any experience with a vanguard?
Have I wasted money?
