There was a similar photo doing the rounds a few years back of a south polar skua (?) that had swallowed a squid which had eaten its way out of the bird's stomach and through its skin:

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this picture:

Does this sort of thing happen a lot? I've never seen anything like it!confuse.gif
Can anyone identify what the foreign body is? It could be the next Mystery Bird quiz!
