Highfield Moss, Lowton.

Can't find my previous comments on the proposed increased usage of the airstrip bordering Highfield Moss

However, the access track seems to have approval from Warrington BC, following approval by Wigan

Sadly, I'd have to agree with you there Ian.

Unfortunately Nick, no matter who owns or manages it, fires are almost inevitable

Heard some news the other day that the ownership of Highfield Moss has now been taken on by Wigan MBC but it will be 'managed' by LWT. Lets hope their first job will be stopping the local scroats from torching the place every spring. The stonechats down there already seem to have disappeared due to most of the gorse being destroyed by fire two years ago.
