I think we have a thread for Dipper sightings (including colour ringed) in the sightings forum Steve

Pair (both ringed) nest building in Mossley this morning.

Will PM Tony with precise details of nest site.

One of SMRG's ringed Dippers on the Tame at Brownhills/Garden Centre today.

White rings on both legs. Right leg has a coloured ring (above the white one) which seems to be half white/half lilac.

Do the colour rings fade over time?

Birds are already nest building on the River Sett at New Mills.
South Manchester Ringing Group will be visiting the River Tame upstream of Stalybridge starting next week, weather permitting, for year 5 of the colour ringing, nest recording and Retrapping Adults for Survival project.
Your Dipper sightings will be valued as usual.
